Step 5 | Host charter meeting to kick-off design journey

The final step of the Charter phase is to host a meeting to confirm the Charter Single-Frame with Sponsors and get their approval to move forward. The goal is to get everyone on the same page going into the next phase of the design journey.

Meeting Details:

  • Who’s leading the meeting? Designated Engagement Leader

  • Participants? Sponsor Team & Project Team

  • Where? Virtual or in-person

  • How long? 1-2 hours (depending on level of work remaining and how much discussion is needed)

Suggested Meeting Agenda:

  • Welcome & Project Goals

  • Sponsorship & Roles

  • Project Timeline & Charter

  • Project Administration (meetings, work plans, communications, knowledge management, etc.)

  • Next Steps:

    • Identify + Invite Design Team - Client Sponsors need to identify + invite approx. 50 people representing a diverse cross-section of their organization to participate as the Design Team throughout each phase of the innovation journey process.

    • Plan for Inspiration Kick-Off - Begin working through action items, logistics, and planning for the launch of the next innovation journey phase - Inspire.
